GRANT-A-WISH

Designed to lift the human spirit for those in need in ordinary ways. Sometimes all that it takes is a simple small act of kindness that can make a big difference in someone’s life. Through New 2 Me Resale Shoppe, Grant-A-Wish and Reach provide services to a variety of different organizations, groups and individuals on a daily basis that may
be in need of a helping hand. 

REACH
“Do not follow where the path may lead – Go instead, where there is no path, and leave a trail”

REACH is the junior arm of New 2 Me Resale Shoppe GRANT-A-WISH program that is comprised of local teenagers who through the guidance of adult supervisors are empowered to have a voice and then take the necessary steps to become that difference in someone’s life.  The REACH members are taught entrepreneurial skills to be used in conjunction with their passion to do both what is right and what is needed.  Their inspiration becomes a magnet in bringing together a community towards a common goal which benefits everyone involved in different ways.

REACH has made a difference in the following ways:

September 26, 2009 – Coordinated a large music based fundraiser called NOISE 2009 that raised not only funds but the awareness of the need to become involved.

December 12, 2009 – Adopted a group home in Canal Fulton for adults with mental disabilities where we provided a full Christmas party.  The party consisted of pizza, desserts, presents, stockings, professional photos with Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus and Christmas carols.

December 16, 2009 – Hosted a “gathering” for individuals in our community to bring together new friendships.  In addition to dinner and desserts we provided for entertainment with a Baby Boomer Humorist and most of all, we provided companionship during the holidays.

February 8, 2010 – Scheduled is a glamour make over and fun party for the group home in Canal Fulton.

February 12, 2010 – Will be the first of six (6) sponsorships in 2010 where we will provide both the food and services to the Hope Café Ministry in Akron where we will contribute to the efforts to address hunger in our area.

A community comes together sometimes by the smallest of deeds when the efforts are directed towards a common goal
